Retaining all the hallmarks of a true performance icon, the highly responsive Subaru Boxer 2.5 litre DOHC 16-valve turbo power plant is mated to the renowned symmetrical AWD system, providing a lower centre of gravity for supreme poise, balance and all-wheel grip. This is complemented by a host of cutting-edge features designed to give you ultimate driving stimulation and complete control behind the wheel.

The turbo-charged engine delivers stunning performance throughout the rev range. However, it is its acceleration at low to medium speeds that you will find most satisfying. With 407 Nm of torque from the STi Type UK and a massive 470 Nm from the 330S, this engine can deliver jaw-dropping, adrenalin pumping power. Dual-active Valve control improves exhaust and combustion performance and a larger intercooler improves engine efficiency. In addition to this, a transverse-mounted high-capacity muffler and four pipe exhaust system mean engine power of 300 PS for the STi Type UK and a conservatively rated 330 PS for the 330S.

With so much power at your fingertips, you need huge levels of control . Whether you're taking a winding cross-country road or cruising in the city, both STI Type UK and 330S include a wide range of easily adjustable precision settings to ensure the most safe and satisfying drive. SI-Drive gives you three engines in one. Choose intelligent mode for smooth motorway driving and maximum economy. Choose Sport mode for linear accelaration or choose Sport Sharp mode for instant throttle response and free revving. Multi-mode Driver's Centre Control Differential (DCCD) enables you to influence the handling of your STi to suit the road the conditions. Increased diff lock gives more traction on slippery roads. Reduced lock improves agility on windy roads. Multi-mode Vehicle Dynamics Control allows you to determine the extent to which the on-board computers influence torque and traction control.

This is the most powerful STi we have ever developed. The rally-derived 2.5 litre turbocharged engine thats produces 300PS in the STi Type UK is bulked up to 330PS at only 5,400rpm and the torque is increased from 407NM to a staggering 470NM, at a much lower 3,400rpm.

With a top speed of 155mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.5 seconds, you can expect adreneline pumping performance.

Exemplary handling and cornering are ensured by a set of bespoke 18" five spoke alloy wheels. Shod with specially selected Dunlop tyres, turn-in and feedback are both improved on the standard car. The STi's massive Brembo brakes feature four-wheel, wide diameter, ventilated discs that perfectly match the 330's power, providing fade-free stopping time after time. Super Sports ABS and Electronic Brake Force distrubution mean that you're always safely in control, however extreme the conditions.
